*** We’re buying two of these units for our home, and we’re putting together a bulk buying discount for our patients! ***

Patients and friends often ask about our recommendation for the best home and office air purifier.

For years, we’re recommended a high-quality HEPA filtering unit to deal with VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), mold spores, dust, pollens, and other gases and particulate matter found in the home and office.

We’ll share our revised recommendation shortly. We’re even putting together a discounted bulk order for our patients.

Meanwhile,  let’s talk about what these units do.

What are VOCs?

From Wikipedia:

“Volatile Organic Compounds are organic chemicals that have a high vapor pressure at ordinary room temperature. … VOCs are numerous, varied, and ubiquitous. They include both human-made and naturally occurring chemical compounds. Most scents or odors are of VOCs.”

Certain organic chemicals or compounds evaporate at room temperature, creating potentially dangerous volatile particles that lower your indoor air quality.

The EPA doesn’t mince words about the dangers:

Volatile Organic Compounds are extremely hazardous. VOCs cause eye, nose and throat irritation, frequent headaches, nausea, and can also damage the liver, kidney and central nervous system.”

Indoor pollution is a well-researched contributing factor to many of the chronic health conditions we regularly see in our office.

In the FDA’s comment, note that the symptoms and conditions may include fatigue, foggy brain syndrome, irritability, anxiety, impaired immune systems, depression, and more.

The good news is that most indoor pollution symptoms are reversible unless a severe chronic condition has taken hold.

Even better – there’s a simple, comprehensive, low-maintenance way to reduce indoor pollution in our homes and offices.

THE FIRST STEP is to remove or reduce any sources of VOCs in the home. The State of Minnesota has posted an excellent guide.

SECOND, purchase an effective filtering unit.

A HEPA unit with charcoal and particulate matter filters captures biologically active particles. While they can do a fine job, when the filter is full, molds and other particles can escape into the environment.

The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) says:

“Studies show that indoor air pollution caused by a dirty air filter can trigger allergic reactions and sinus congestion in those with allergies to animals, pollen and mold.”

This is why we’re retiring the filter units  we’ve used in our office and home for years, and switching to the EnviroKlenz  unit.

The EnviroKlenz Air Cartridge contains the company’s patented earth mineral technology which destructively absorbs chemical odors and VOCs.

As polluted air comes into contact with the EnviroKlenz earth minerals, they absorb, neutralize, and break down the chemical compounds. The minerals used are zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, and titanium dioxide.

An ultrafine fiber medium removes at least 99.97% (9,997 out of 10,000) of microscopic particles a minimum size of 0.3-microns in diameter from the air.

The manufacturer recommends replacing the unit’s HEPA filter every 2-3 years and the mineral cartridges every six months.

Our Pacific Naturopathic Bulk Order saves you $100.

The EnviroKlenz  unit we are purchasing retails direct from the company for $699. With a large enough bulk order, we can offer the unit for $599 plus tax. The units will be shipped to our office, so there will be no additional shipping charge if you can pick it up from us.

The EnviroKlenz company has agreed to provide three additional cartridges per each unit purchased – a $300 value.

Participating in the bulk order is easy. Just phone (or stop by) our office with your credit card information. We’ll call you when your unit arrives. The deadline for orders is October 15. If you don’t order this time, don’t worry. We’ll repeat the offer sometime next year.

Meanwhile, check out the EnviroKlenz  website.
